Edwin Booth Statue

While in New York city another one of my favorite things is sketching and watching the seasons go by in Gramercy Park. This statue of Edwin Booth is in the center of the gardens. Booth founded the Players Club across the street and next door to us at the NAC. As a history lover, I must recommend him as a google search! He was considered America's first real "celebrity", known by virtually everyone, though forgotten to history as we remember his failure-of-an-actor-brother John Wilkes Booth instead...for an entirely different reason.
